As an employee it it a requirement of my employee to withhold superannuation on my behalf. The government has made many new proposals in respect of superannuation...the help ensure that we provide for our retirement. I am concerned that same-sex attracted couples are not able to take part in the co-contribution intitiatves, along with other issues regarding death benefits. I have made a formal submission in respect of this issue, during the recent submission period for the Superannuation C-contribution splitting bill. It concerns me because I can not take part in something that is made available for many other families and individuals...any I don't understand why the government is excluding same-sex attracted families from this? It seems to make no sense...as it is in the governments interest that we reduce the burden on the public service in our retirement, by saving for our future... Thanks you for listening.
