My partner and I have both worked in the federal public service for over twenty years, apiece. We have, as required by law, paid superannuation for the duration. And, as required by law, should either of us fall off the twig, all monies paid will go to the government. Both of us are happy to work for the Australian people, to pay our taxes (as two unmarried people, like it or not), and compulsorily save for our retirement. Indeed, superannuation is a great idea. The fact that a bereaved partner is denied the right to inherit the others super, for wont of being an opposite sex couple married just half a minute, is blatantly unfair. I shant labour the point. I trust that you will set this matter right for us, and all those who follow. Sincerely Yvonne Wigman 36C E # % . 0 = > ? hhB* phhB*OJQJ^Jph 46D E $ % / 0 > ? gd ? ,1h.
